Kadean Lifts Ceremonial Beam at STLCC Advanced Manufacturing Center
Kadean Construction Company hit an exciting milestone out at the Advanced Manufacturing project for St. Louis Community College’s Florissant Valley campus! A significant structural beam of the 96,000 SF Advanced Manufacturing Center was lifted into place after a signing ceremony for the campus community and project teams to have their signatures remain a part of the new building and will forever represent the team effort required from all parties involved to ensure the project’s success.

About the Project
The Advanced Manufacturing Building will be located on STLCC’s Florissant Valley Campus. The building will be home to their engineering and trade programs. The building will include three levels of classrooms, labs, offices, and multi-use spaces. The three-story steel structure will be clad in ground face masonry, curtainwall, and composite metal panels. The open atrium space will provide an abundance of natural lighting due to the skylights and create an inviting, creative space for its students. The building will be fully sprinkled and incorporate a bus duct system for electrical. The building has 10,730 SF of green roof areas, featuring custom pre-cast concrete benches for students to relax, mingle, and study.
